April 2009

What a fun game, even though the weather was terrible. In fact, I was concerned whether or not the game would happen at all. Here is how the day progressed:

– mid- 80’s at home
– drive to The Cell, cloudy and cooler
– violent thunderstorm, rain, temperature drop – so cool you could see your breath
– drizzle nearly the entire game, with brief instances of downpour

Just several days before the game, the forecast was < 30% rain, sunny, and 80. Oof.

The game, however, was AWESOME. Alexei hit a grand slam (#5 I think, in < 1 yr), which essentially sealed the Blue Jay's fate early in the game. TOR didn't recover. With a year like their's so far, I thought they might. Still a bit of a nail biter.

Oh, and Katie the Sox fan: If you want the full-res version of your photos, let me know.

I know. I have not posted in some time. Life has diverted into a direction that I really hadn’t foreseen when I began attempting to post regularly here. Regardless…

Sometime back, I decided that I really need to get a life outside of the office. Realizing the difficulty associated with this project, I have decided to separate it into several tasks. #1: Get a hobby.

I actually have many, just none that I have stuck with for any great period of time. The problem, it seems, is that they all required a great deal of time.

Until December 2008.

That is when my Mom, brother and I went to Florida. I took control of the camera on the trip, and really enjoyed it. So there it is. I bought a camera. That is the hobby, primarily because it does not take a great deal of time. To be a GOOD photographer is quite something else, but to simply snap a shot here and there when I have a few free seconds is within my reach. Hopefully the enthusiasm isn’t fleeting and one day I will desire to actually get good at it. For now, this is all I can offer.

Set 1 was actually taken on 29 MAR 2009. Click away.
